Tesla collision estimates and insurance supplements, explained clearly.
Send the Tesla details, visible damage, warning messages, driveable status, claim status, and any insurer estimate already prepared. Calibri can document the repair plan and communicate during review. The insurer decides coverage and payment; the vehicle owner decides whether to authorize the repair.

A more useful intake
The insurer estimate and the inspected repair plan can begin at different levels of detail.
A claim may start with photographs, a remote review, or an estimate written before exterior parts are removed. The repair facility still needs to inspect the vehicle and prepare the work it proposes. When a newly visible condition changes that plan, the added work can be documented for insurer review and must also be explained to the owner before authorization.
01
The current insurer estimate
Tell the team what claim documents you have, including parts descriptions, labor operations, totals, claim number, assigned contact, and written instructions. Send paperwork only through a private channel the team confirms—not as damage-photo uploads.
02
Vehicle & damage context
Provide the exact Tesla model and year, several photographs, warning messages, driveable status, current location, and whether any disassembly occurred.
03
Why the documents may differ
Different inspection stages can show different information. Parts verification, access, measurements, diagnostics, and other findings may change the proposed work.
04
What a supplement means
In collision work, a supplement is commonly an additional documented request for insurer review when the repair plan includes newly identified work or cost.
05
Insurer review vs owner approval
An insurer response addresses claim payment. It does not replace the vehicle owner’s authorization for the shop to perform added work or incur added charges.
06
Policy-specific decisions
Coverage, deductible, payment, rental, towing, total-loss handling, parts decisions, and supplement approval remain specific to the policy and insurer.

Why a visible starting condition is not always the final scope.
This Calibri Model Y sequence illustrates the difference between arrival evidence, added inspection access, and a finished exterior. It does not claim that these photographs document the insurance handling of this particular vehicle.
Evidence first. A vehicle-specific next step second.
01
Send the claim starting point
Provide damage photographs, the insurer estimate, claim status, assigned contact, policy questions, and the vehicle’s safety and movement context.
02
Inspect and prepare the proposed work
The shop reviews the Tesla at the appropriate inspection stage and identifies the work, parts, outside services, and other information currently known.
03
Document a changed scope
If an additional condition is found, the change can be itemized and submitted for any insurer review required by the claim.
04
Separate payment from authorization
The insurer addresses coverage and payment; the owner reviews the updated plan and authorizes the shop before added repair proceeds.
Clear scope
Coordination is not a promise of coverage.
Calibri does not promise that an insurer will accept an estimate, supplement, part, labor operation, rate, rental, towing charge, or repair recommendation. The shop documents and communicates the proposed work; the insurer makes its claim decision, and the owner remains responsible for authorization and any known customer-responsible amount.

Useful answers
Before you request Tesla collision service
Why might Calibri’s repair plan differ from an insurer estimate?+
The documents may be prepared from different information or at different inspection stages. Visible damage, authorized disassembly, parts verification, measurements, diagnostics, outside procedures, and newly identified conditions can change the proposed scope.
What is an insurance supplement?+
In collision repair, a supplement commonly refers to an additional documented request for insurer review when newly identified work or cost was not included in the earlier estimate. Approval is not guaranteed.
Does insurer approval authorize Calibri to perform the work?+
Not by itself. An insurer response addresses claim coverage or payment. The vehicle owner must also receive the updated information and authorize the repair facility before added work or charges proceed.
Can Calibri guarantee what my Tesla policy will pay?+
No. Coverage, deductibles, limits, exclusions, parts decisions, rental, towing, total-loss handling, payment, and approvals remain specific to the policy, insurer, loss, and documented repair plan.
Can I choose Calibri instead of an insurer-recommended shop?+
California consumer guidance says an insurer cannot require an automobile to be repaired at a specific shop. Shop choice does not itself decide coverage or payment. Our linked California guide cites the official sources.
Is Calibri a Tesla-certified or insurer-owned facility?+
Calibri Motorsport is an independent repair business. It is not presented as a Tesla Certified Collision Center, and no insurer ownership or universal direct-repair relationship is claimed on this page.
